Hace algunos a\u00f1os, mientras templaba un cuchillo al que hab\u00eda dedicado horas de forja, me encontr\u00e9 con un problema que quiz\u00e1s t\u00fa tambi\u00e9n hayas experimentado: una grieta en la que pod\u00eda meter una u\u00f1a. Fue una experiencia inicialmente frustrante que me llev\u00f3 a cuestionar el qu\u00e9 hab\u00eda salido mal. Recuerdo\u00a0 ese instante en el que un sonido agudo se transmiti\u00f3 por las tenazas, recorriendo mi brazo hasta llegar a mi cerebro. No s\u00e9 si lo o\u00ed primero o lo sent\u00ed, pero a\u00fan algunas noches sigue resonando en mi cabeza.<\/p>\n

Aqu\u00ed te mostrar\u00e9 los factores que influyen en la aparici\u00f3n de grietas en tus herramientas durante el templado, ya sean cuchillos, martillos, espadas, cortafr\u00edos o cualquier otra que requiera un temple y revenido para mejorar sus propiedades mec\u00e1nicas.<\/p>\n

Pero antes, es importante ver que tensiones se producen durante el templado de una herramienta.<\/p>\n

Descubre los secretos para evitar la aparici\u00f3n de grietas durante el proceso de templado de tus herramientas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":4125,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"on","_et_pb_old_content":"El origen de unas grietas cuando hemos templado un martillo o un cuchillo, es dificil de \u00a0determinar, pero creemos que es interesante comentar las causas que pueden contribuir a su formaci\u00f3n y se\u00f1alar algunos medios que se pueden emplear para evitarlas.\r\n\r\nLos principales factores que hay que considerar en la fabricaci\u00f3n y tratamiento de las herramientas de forma complicada son:\r\n\r\n1.- La composici\u00f3n del acero.\r\n\r\n2.- La geometria de la pieza y su acabado superficial.\r\n\r\n3.- La temperatura y medio de calentamiento.\r\n\r\n4.- El medio o m\u00e9todo de enfriamiento.\r\n\r\n5.- La buena o mala calidad del acero.\r\n\r\n6.- Sobrecalentamientos o quemado del acero durante el proceso de forja.\r\n\r\nTENSIONES TERMICAS:\r\n\r\nSon producidas por la mayor o menor rapidez con que se enfrian las capas \u00e9xternas e internas del material.\r\n\r\nEn el enfriamiento rapido la superficie se contrae, pero digamos que el nucleo no lo deja, aunque tiene todavia cierta plasticidad al estar caliente. Obtenemos tensiones de traccion en la superficie y de compresion en el nucleo. \u00a0Estas tensiones son temporales, por que cuando la superficie se enfria y no hay cambio de volumen, continua enfradose el nucleo que estaba sosmetido a tensiones de compresi\u00f3\u0144, al reducir volumen disminuyen las teniones internas, produciendose un cambio de signo de las tensiones del nucleo que quiere reducir volumen pero el exterior ya r\u00edgido no le deja, provocando tensiones de tracci\u00f3\u0144\u00b4\u00e9\u0144\u00b4\u00e9\u013a\u00b4\u00ed\u0144terior. Despes del enfriamiento final en la superficie quedan tensiones remanentes de compresi\u00f3n, pero estas no son las mas peligrosas.\r\n\r\nTENSIONES ESTRUCTURALES:\r\n\r\nSe producen como consecuencia de los cambios de volumen que sufre en la transformaci\u00f3\u0144\u00b4\u1e3f\u00e1\u0155tensitica. La martensita ocupa mas volumen que los componentes del acero no templado, por lo que durante el temple, por ddebaja de la temperatura Ms, la martensita se forma en primer lugar en la superficie, que alcanza esta temperatura antes que el nucleo. Como dicha transformaci\u00f3\u0144\u00b4va acompa\u00f1ada de un aumento de volumen, en la superficie se frman tensiones de compresi\u00f3\u0144\u00b4\u00fd en las capas internas de tracci\u00f3\u0144. A medida que el procesocontinua, el signo de las tensiones en la superficie y en el nuclo cambia. REsultando tensiones residuaales de traccion en la superficie y de compresiobn en el nucleo.\r\n\r\n\"IMG_20170424_221815\"\r\n\r\nLas tensiones mas peligrosas son las de tracci\u00f3\u0144\u00b4\u00e9\u0144\u00b4\u013a\u00e1\u00b4\u015b\u00fa\u1e55\u00e9\u0155fici, ya que producen fisuras.
